Decisions on material to be included in the final projection

I have finally made some concrete decisions on which materials are to be included in the final projection. It has taken me a long time to decide not only on the content but the sections/amount of work to be included. I have divided the projection into three sections, each focusing on an element. The order is: Energy, Motion & Time, this links to the original title of the project and proposal.

The first section on energy consists of the following sequences: Jellyfish in Motion, In Control and Shibuya. These images and videos illustrate the element of energy.

The second section on motion consists of the following sequences: Hands, Silhouette in Motion and DJ. These all illustrate the element of motion.

The third section on time consists of the following sequences: Tokyo Subway, Airport and Waves of Time. These are all elements of time.

The text links them together along with a voice over which is meant to help the audience understand the definition of each element. The overall idea is to show how the elements work together and overlap to in each environment/scenario.

Decision not to include stills for the final projection:

I wanted to include stills underneath the titles/text, but chose not to because of flickering due to unstable file format, and feel this would distract the audience.  The decision to not include individual stills separated from the text/video work was made because the ideas of energy, motion and time were suited to the video work, and the inclusion of photos would have made the work too long in terms of time.  I wanted to include as many environments as possible, and therefore decided to stick with looping video sequences.
